While it seems there are a few less decorations along this street of beautiful houses, the ones that are lit are worth seeing. There’s one house on Songbird and another on Covey that have made the most of white lights, white snowflakes, while icicle lights to give quite a white glow. And the size of the Christmas tree in the two-story glass window is something to behold. We’re also seeing more Nativity scenes this year, and there are some nice ones here.

Dad broke his hand in a motorcycle accident, but managed with his family’s help to make this homestead bright. It’s hard to imagine how many lights can be sprinkled over one house. The house’s youngsters play a huge role in this array.

Large houses and large lots along this road give decorators plenty of palette. Enjoy the house with 17 deer; the one with Santa climbing in a gable window; and the others whose lights make up for the lack of streetlights.

Take this road to see a spirited competition with the neighbors. Other houses in this neighborhood are very attractive. You can end up on Garner Lane, Keefer Road or Highway 99 from here.

At the end of the road, the house has an abundance of Santas and candy canes. Look for a lit carousel. Last year, the son dressed as Santa and waved from the roof. The house close to Eaton has a great array. Both good for daytime tours.

All the residents of this cul-de-sac agreed that Christmas was the time to unite. A wash of all-white lights looks impressive. However, cars parked in the cul-de-sac make it hard to turn around. Perhaps park and walk the court, but make sure you cruise throughout this neighborhood for other sights, including Santa’s blow-up band.

Choose Yellowstone, Greenfield or Amber Grove drives to get inside the neighborhood and wander around. Some follow the minimalist theory, but others just poo-poo their power bills. Nice wide streets make this a wonderful maze of lights.

Right on the corner, this house jump-starts your senses, as lights that blink, fade, shiver and run do so to music on your car radio. Others on the block are getting in the mood, and San Jose Street takes you back to Lassen.

Yes, they did it again. Every single Silverado home has something Christmas-y to wow passers-by. Lights and comical cut-outs on San Antonio are traditional for these spirited homes. Both are good walking tours.

Outlining lawns in red or green light ropes is popular in this neighborhood, along with several inflatable creatures. Somehow 879 Mathews manages to find something different — a white mother goose with two goslings, done up in lights.

This block gets better and better. The decorators at 1206 find something new to create, like this year’s hand-made, life-size Rudolph in the tractor’s scoop and a semi-circle of hand-made “little ones” under the Christmas tree. Elves and the famous couple get their realism through stretchy material and wire “bones.” Other homes on this cul-de-sac have joined in the fun.

Bright white deer scattered throughout the yard catch your attention initially at this house, but the more you look, the more you notice. Angel wings rustle the air, heads turn slowly. Check out the egrets by a back tree. The house across the street is gussied up too. This could be a good day-time yard to view.

Not as extravagant as others on the tour, this house nevertheless brightens a neighborhood that hasn’t done much. There’s almost more on the porch in the way of decorations, and the family tree with running lights reflects nicely from inside.

Stop, look and listen at this one. As Christmas carols play in the background, enjoy a rolling Ferris wheel, moving ski lift and rhymic light shows. Turn your car radio on and tune in to the music. Look for the frequency on a yard sign.

Turn at Floral, at the tree and packages on the patio roof. Two houses are joined as one on Whitewood. A rather unusual Santa peeks out of the chimney in the lawn. On nearby Upland, the 12-year-old daughter always puts up the candy cane, and the 13-year-old son takes charge of Frosty, which once belonged to their great-grandmother in Ohio.

This household has it all with lights, inflatables, baubles, color and “glass” balls, on a compact lawn. The arch of candy canes sets the yard off nicely, but make sure to catch the display cases of teddy bears and Santas. A bad street on rainy days.

It’s good to see this family back after a health issue stopped them last year. On a lawn that couldn’t find an empty inch, room for another train and two new displays was found. Santa makes sure children have candy canes, and the trains run 5-9 nightly, unless there’s rain.

Make sure to stop by for a new look at this old favorite. Over the course of a year, this homeowner’s yard has changed dramatically — giving him a new canvas.
