Brazilian.

"to save money and rub elbows with actual Brazilians one has to go to
Newark's Ironbound, an easy ride on the PATH. Of the several I've
reviewed there, current fave is Boi Na Brasa, off the beaten path in a strip mall decorated like a South American
farmstead. The bacon-wrapped turkey is diverting, but I go right for
the picanha and the blood-dripping beef rib. All meat is cooked over
charcoal, and, even though there's a wine list, you can also bring your
own." Shellfish, a little restaurant and fish store in one of the 22 tiny
communities that run the length of the island...The same fellow has
been digging clams for Ship Bottom Shellfish for 23 years, so we
ordered clams. We had them steamed in a buttery, briny broth; stuffed
into a shell with garlic butter, bread crumbs and crab meat; and
chopped into chowder, both an excellent, light New England version and
a less successful Manhattan chowder." (NY Times)

"Suez Canal is one of the Egyptian fish restaurants that constitute
Jersey City's greatest culinary asset...The proprietors are from Port
Said, at the mouth of the Suez Canal, where fresh fish is an obsession.
In fact, fish is so much the focus of the menu, there's little else to
eat...whole fish...are dipped in whole-wheat flour, blackened over
charcoal, then baptized with salt water. This process renders the skin
inedible, but turns the flesh supremely sweet and moist." (Village Voice)
